My sweet little Presley you are eleven months old! You are growing up so fast. It's getting hard to keep you still long enough for a picture. You make me and Daddy work for this!
You continue to be a happy baby and I am so thankful for this. You love to laugh and for others to laugh at you. You can say "momma, dada, bye, hi, ball, dog, no no" and although it doesn't sound exactly like "thank you" everytime you hand me something you say a two words that sure makes me think that's what you are saying. You love to point at things with your finger and you now shake your head no when you don't want something. You also open and close your hands when you want someone (such as the dogs) to come to you. You love looking at books especially in the car and you will laugh and point at the pictures. It makes me so happy to see you love books! You have two bottom teeth and two top teeth. You will eat pretty much anything we let you but I'm still paranoid and monitor what you get.

You are a good walker but you still resort to crawling if you're going a long way. And you're fast at crawling now! You still are a great sleeper and night time isn't a struggle at all. Some mornings if you wake up before we come get you I can hear you playing the "nature" sounds on your music thing on the crib. Some mornings you turn it on and lay back down and go to sleep. Other mornings you play it over and over and will just talk to yourself. You are always content until I go and get you up when it's time to leave the house. You are such an easy baby. You are a huge blessing and we are so proud of you. Thank you for brining so much to our lives!

Diva Desk

So glad it's Friday!! It's been a long week and I'm glad I have two days off with my sweet family. I have no idea what we will do but even if we sit at home the whole time I'll be one happy momma! I don't have pictures of Miss P to post today but I'll do a mega post this weekend...I swear! In the meantime, I ran across the picture of my dream office. I WANT THIS DESK! :-)
I would be so much more productive if I sat at a desk that made me feel like a diva! Although my lamp would have a pink shade!

Driving Around In My Automobile....

Presley loves her Cozy Coupe. We actually have two...I bought one for $8 at a consignment sale and this one for $10 at a consignment sale. Yep...I know a bargain when I see one. It's a little faded but it still provides great entertainment for my little cupcake. She will play forever with it! We have this one inside and the other one on the porch. (I'll share a little secret and tell you that Jared is playing "Pimp My Ride" with her other car! I can't wait until it's done to show everyone. I think it's going to turn out awesome. She'll be the coolest toddler on our block!) In the meantime, she's playing with the ghetto Coupe inside the house. This week Miss P has learned she can take a passanger with her. She has put this stuffed dog that Granny gave her into her car a million times. Sometimes he drives and she pushes the car. And sometimes they ride together like in this picture. It's hilarious. She holds him up like this the whole time she's playing!
She's growing up way too fast! We both keep saying that she's definately turning into a toddler. She plays differently now and she's quiet the entertainer. She adds so much to our life!

Cover Girl

Presley will be 11 months old tomorrow! I can't believe that it's been nearly a year since this little bundle of joy came into our lives. Jared and I have both been saying how much she's growing up. She does somethig new every single day and she's starting to act more like a toddler. Her personality has started to show so much. She's so sweet and full of life. I snapped a few pictures on the porch Sunday before church. Here's a sneak peak of a couple. You'll have to guess what I might have been doing a little photo shoot for.....
As you can see...she's on the move constantly and Jared and I were both worn out from trying to get her to be still and smile when we needed her to!
I love this little girl sooooo much! I never feel like I get enough time with her. Today I had jury duty and it's the first day of the class I'm teaching and I've had my head in the computer most of the night doing stuff for that. She's such a good girl that she went to bed at 7:30 and now I'm wishing I had snuggled with her just a little more. Jared and I make a huge effort to spend all the time we can with her but somehow it never seems like enough. Stop growing so fast sweet girl!

Crazy Week

Crazy Week! I was sick one day and it's been super busy the rest of the day. I have agreed to teach a class here at the college I work at and it starts Monday so I'm in a bit of a panic trying to get everything ready. Prseley has been a busy girl. She walks all over the place and she is getting to where she plays by herself more. She likes to sit in front of the back door and look out the window where she can watch the dogs and cows. I hope to post more pictures this weekend. We are going to eat "chop chop" aka Little Tokyo this weekend as a late birthday celebration for me. We took Presley one time before when she was a few months old so I can't wait to see her reaction to the cook!

Delivery

Yesterday when I got home I had a great surprise package waiting on me! I knew it was going to be great because it came in a cute green and white package and then inside was this hot pink box with zebra ribbon. I was loving it already! Do you like my creative hearts I added to the package so our addresses weren't out there for eveyone to see? Crafty I know. :-)
Anyway....my sweet sister Paula and my neice Jewel got me a Pandora bracelet! I LOVE it...it's exactly what i would have picked out. It was a great surprise and a great way to celebrate my Birthday eve! I was not super duper excited about turing 29 but this is making it much better!
Thank you Paula and Jewel for thinking of me and for having such great taste! I love you both!

Sleepy Head

It's been a l...o...n...g week and I haven't gotten on here one time! I'm a terrible blogger. Jared was sick at the begining of the week and then I've been crazy tired and passed out by 9 a few nights. The sad part is I don't even know why. I blame the INSANE heat we've been having. Even Presley has been dragging in the morning. I get up and get ready and then I wake her right before we need to leave. It's usually about 7:15 when I go into her room. She's usually awake and jumps up as soon as I go in. She's been awake but she's been a little slower to pop up this week.
I love how her hair looks in the mornings. I comb it all nice when she gets out of the tub and it dries before she goes to bed. But then it looks like this each morning. I promise to be a better blogger this week. We have some fun things planned this weekend and I have a few projects I want to work on. So hopefully next week will hold more blogging and some great pictures!

10 Months old

My sweet little Presley Lynn! You are 10 months old already. You are growing so fast! It has been difficult to get a picture of you in the month onsie this time. I have tried a couple of times and finally got a good one last night. I gave up on taking it in the recliner like all the others. You refused to sit still in it. So I let you roam around the living room and you finally ended up in your rocker and I got this picture....
You are so cute trying to make it rock but you don't try for too long and then you're off to explore something else. You can walk about 8 steps on your own now! You still prefer to crawl and are super fast at it. You will follow us all over the house. And it doesn't seem to bother you to crawl into a dark room by yourself. It seems like we spend a lot of time following you around!
Before you were born Daddy said he didn't want toys all around the house and that we would keep everything in your room. Well....that hasn't really happened. You have toys stored in every corner! You play in your room if we sit down in there with you but you mainly just sleep in there. You are still a great sleeper and typically sleep from 8pm-8am. You have been waking up some nights lately but you fuss for just a minute and go back to sleep on your own. I think it's your teeth bothering you. You have had 2 bottom teeth since 7 months but your 2 top teeth worked at coming in for the past month. Finally, they have broken through but they are still red and puffy.
You are growing so much! You are average weight and above average in height. You wear a size 3 diaper, size 3 shoe (not that you wear them much), and 12-18 month clothes. You will still wear a headband and hairbow to church but if you're the least bit tired you do not want it on. Your hair is long enough in the front I have to keep it pulled up.
This picture is one of my favorite from last night. I love how the sunlight was coming in the front door. You were looking up at the mounted hogs we have hanging. You are not scared of them at all and I see you looking at them quiet often! You're a true little country girl!
You still love to clap and you have started to dance every time you hear music. You laugh and smile a lot. You love being outside and you like to "moo" at the cows and pet the dogs. You can say "momma, dada, bye-bye, ball, hi" and your favorite is "uh-oh!". You have started to show a huge preference in me for snuggling at night time and for daddy for play time. It's really obvious you are learning about us too. You continue to be a blessing to us daily and our world revolves around you. We are so thankful to be your parnets and we love you more and more each day!

Great Family Night

We have been working on spending some quality time with Presley lately and we had a great night last night! When I got home from work, we changed and went to eat. We decided on El Chico and it was a great choice. Jared and I had the fajitas that have chicken, mushrooms, bacon, cheese...yeah they are delicious. And then we had fried icecream...even yummier! Presley had chicken and shredded cheese. Here she is checking out the kids menu before we ordered:
Haha! She was so good. She is a people watcher so she was in paradise. She was happy the entire time and it makes me proud to have such a sweet baby! After we went to Lowe's and bought a "rescuse shrub". It was half price as well as half dead but we thought it should have a chance so we purchased it (aka rescued it). So......I may have to post some before and after pictures of that on here. Then we went and visited Jared's parents for a few minutes, then went home and stood at the fence and watched cows and then after Presley was in bed Jared and I just sat on the couch and talked. We managed to have a whole day with no tv! It was actually really nice to have some quiet time to talk. We don't do that nearly enough and we've promised to do it more. It was a sweet night. I want more like that! Oh, I've found a new background and will get it on here soon. I promise!

Weekend Catch Up

I have pictures to post from this weekend but I'll have to catch up tonight. Gavin and Amarah ended up staying the night Saturday and we had lots of fun. It was a busy weekend but I got to spend some great time with Jared and Presley so it was a GOOD weekend. She is getting so big every day and I can't believe she's about to be one! I snapped this picture before we left for church Sunday morning. Her Granny, Susan, got her several sun dresses and this one is my favorite. I like the bright colors and the flowers and fruit on it. Soooooooo cute! Happy Monday everyone and I will post more pics tonight and I'm trying to locate someone to fix my background for me.
